Well my husband has begun the month on an awful foot. Yesterday he made an impulse purchase and went out to eat rather than coming home for lunch. (That’s about $25 failure on the first day, *face palm*). Today he ate lunch out again, so we’re at $32 of retaliation spending.
I am not letting that stop me. I did one of the two exception purchases and it ended up being less than half of the allotted amount! I allowed myself $50 for Elizabeth’s pajamas and was able to find four pairs of pajamas and only spent $22. How great is that? Now I will purchase the birthday present and remain guilt-free, and under budget! 😀
Today’s task to prepare for the move included painting the living room back to the “move in” color our property management company requires, and space saving pillows from the guest room and blankets in the hall closet. This is, of course, on top of the normal “keep the child and pets alive and well” tasks.
The first thing I’m adding to my “No Spend August” wish list is a dog brush that I’ve been dying to try.
I’d say so far this month is a huge success, even with my husband’s lack of cooperation. 😛
