It is such an exciting time, being pregnant, and it truly goes by so quickly.
It feels like just yesterday was November 5th, my husband and I woke up to our empty apartment in Virginia and we got ready for the day of his TBS graduation. It was a slow moving morning which is the most enjoyable type, it was just the two of us, as his parents’ plans changed last minute and they could no longer make it until the afternoon. We were very suspicious about being pregnant and had been meaning to purchase a test but just had not gotten around to it for a few days, but my husband went out to the local grocery store and picked one up. That is simply how we found out we were expecting. We went along with our day keeping it to ourselves until his graduation that evening, which was when we were seeing all of our friends for the last time (at least for who knows how long), we told a handful of them while we could in person.
Here we are, about 36 weeks later on my little girl’s due date, and she isn’t ready quite yet. I am not sure when to expect her arrival but I have been absolutely blessed with an “easy” pregnancy. My feet swell up some days, it’s about 115 degrees outside, my ribs, back, and legs are sore, but I’m all right. I have gained about 40 lbs during the entire pregnancy and I definitely feel like it, but it could be so much worse. I’m happy with everything, I just cannot wait to meet my little girl.
Four weeks ago we had our maternity photos taken by a local photographer here in the desert, and since seeing the results I just cannot wait to see what she does for us next!
Hopefully by my next post I will have had my sweet baby girl.
