Seven months?!

Has it really been over half of a year since my last posting? I cannot believe it.  Let me update you on what my life has encountered, but first, let me try to remember what was going on during my last post.

Wow.  September.  I was living outside of Quantico, Virginia with my husband who was at TBS (the basic school) with the Marines.  We were waiting to find out his MOS and had no idea where we would be heading after the conclusion of the school on November 5th.

The morning of his graduation we found out that I was pregnant.  I will have to write a post about becoming pregnant as I feel like I could write quite a bit about it.  It was such a wonderful day!  Just four days after his graduation we left the lovely state of Virginia (seriously, it’s my favorite state) to move to Twentynine Palms, California for my husband’s MOS school, which didn’t begin until April 16th.

Upon arriving in the High Desert (Mojave) we found a house to live in, moved in, and:

  • proceeded with pregnancy and the lovely wait for MOS school,
  • celebrated holidays, including both of our birthdays
  • a family visit,
  • huge water leak (ouch),
  • traveled to Utah for my sister’s wedding,
  • and moved into base housing,

and life has been much simpler since.

If you happen to be a milso moving to Twentynine, LIVE. ON. BASE. Seriously, there is no other way out here, and I have experienced both on and off base housing.

That brings us to now, where I am in my third trimester of pregnancy with a girl, my husband is in the beginning of his MOS school, and life has finally begun to settle for us here in the desert.

I’ll write again soon!
